redrill explores the repairability of electric tools through design intervention. As a case study, the project focuses on the Dremel 3000 - a widely used rotary tool. Its outer casing has been redesigned to improve accessibility and disassembly. The new housing is 3D-printable and available as open source. In addition, a step-by-step repair guide addressing the most common failure: a broken pole shoe was created. The project aims to make repair more approachable and extend product lifespans through thoughtful, user-centered design.
